Who is Access Family Medicine?
Access Family Medicine (AFM) was founded in August 2021. Its foundation was built upon courage, loyalty, and perseverance. After a chapter practicing medicine at an area hospital, Dr. Chelsea Ray, MD, decided to open a healthcare clinic in Marquette, Mich.
Once a location was picked, it was off to the races. It was time to renovate this old bank building and choose medical staff. Dr. Ray carefully selected her team and decided to have Chelsea Texter, NP-C, and Paula Ackerman, MS, RD, CDCES, practice medicine with Access Family Medicine. With a finish line in sight, Access Family Medicine opened its doors and began seeing patients. For those who have been with Access Family Medicine since the beginning, AFM has come a long way from the only one exam room.
